Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

My dad had a beehive when I was a kid and I always thought that was a really cool side project. Not only do bees produce honey but they pollinate the flowers and fruit trees. But I remember how harvesting the honey was a ton of work so I was not all that interested in continuing on with that tradition after my dad got rid of his beehives.

Until I heard about the Flow Hive. It was a kickstarter project and I was sold! The idea of being able to quickly and easily harvest the honey without taking apart the entire beehive revived my desire to have bees so I jumped right in. I bought a flow hive and ordered a set of bees that spring.

My running results:

2019: no honey and my bees died

2020: 6 quarts of honey but my bees died

2021: 1 quart of honey and still waiting to see if the bees survived the winter

2022: how will things turn out this year?
